What is the Rescue Diver course?

The Rescue Diver course trains you to prevent, recognize, and respond to diving emergencies. It builds on your existing skills and teaches advanced rescue techniques in both confined and open water.

Who can take this course?

You must be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and have a current CPR/First Aid certification. If you don’t have one, we can help you complete the required training.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn how to identify stress, perform rescues, manage panicked or unresponsive divers, and handle emergency scenarios safely and effectively.

How long is the course?

Most Rescue Diver courses take 2–3 days, including classroom work, pool training, and open water scenarios.

Is this course physically demanding?

It can be challenging, but it’s designed for divers of all fitness levels. Our instructors will guide you through each step and ensure you're prepared and comfortable.

Do I need my own gear?

You’ll need standard scuba gear and a few additional items like a surface marker buoy and pocket mask. Rental options are available if needed.

What certification will I receive?

Upon successful completion, you'll earn a Rescue Diver certification—an important credential that qualifies you for leadership training such as Divemaster.
